Job Summary:We are looking for an ambitious and result-driven Territory Manager to oversee and drive stationery product sales across assigned territories. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in General Trade (GT) sales, channel and distribution management, and team leadership. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to achieve consistent sales growth and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Business Development:
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand product reach, and improve market share.
  • Execute trade marketing and sales promotion activities to boost sales.

Channel & Distribution Management:
  • Manage and strengthen distributor and dealer networks to ensure optimal product availability and visibility.
  • Plan and monitor stock levels, secondary sales, and channel profitability.
  • Ensure efficient order processing, delivery, and payment collection.

Team Leadership:
  • Lead, motivate, and guide a team of sales representatives or territory executives.
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, training, and performance appraisals to ensure high productivity.

Market Intelligence:
  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Provide timely insights and reports to management for decision-making.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and address escalations promptly.

Key Requirments

  • Education: Graduate (MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in stationery / FMCG / consumer goods sales, specifically handling GT and channel sales.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution management and retail operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver on targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively.
